The idea behind the day
The route crosses three clearly distinct landscapes: the central farming plain, the salt lake of Chott el Jerid, then the erg. Distances are long and stops far apart, which makes the private format particularly suitable: timings adjust to how tired you are rather than to a group.
Itinerary
- Day 1 — drive south, stop at Kairouan or El Jem, night in Tozeur
- Day 2 — mountain oases, Chott el Jerid, Tozeur palm grove, night in Douz
- Day 3 — Douz, gateway to the desert, return to your starting point
