Listed medina and hotel zone
The Sousse medina and its ribat are World Heritage listed. The hotel zone stretches north as far as Port El Kantaoui, about ten kilometres from the centre — a distance that counts at peak times.
A base for the interior
Kairouan is an hour away, El Jem forty-five minutes. Both major sites are easy day trips from Sousse, back at the hotel by evening.
